It’s always nice to know that the platform you’ve chosen to spend your time using, developing for, or buying applications and/or accessories for is going to be around for a while. That’s why today’s news from Apple that they sold 5.2 million iPhones during the American Fiscal 3rd Quarter: April 1, 2009 – June 30, 2009, a 626% increase over the previous Q3 iphone sales is good news for everybody.

The figures of iPhone sales were backed up by sales of iPods of 10.2 Million and sales of Macs of 2.6 Million, both very very respectable figures.
