Lets talk about what the iPhone 5 brings to the world.
Power consumption:
iPhone 4S was more power efficient then the iPhone 4. (http://chipdesignmag.com/lpd/absolute-power/2011/11/03/iphone-4s-power-efficiency-analysis/)
Dollar cost of power needed for an iPhone is around $0.40 per year.
A typical PC costs about $40 to run for a year.
iPhone 5 may improve on these numbers.
Connectivity:
Combined with how cellular connectivity can change lives in “third worlds”, access to information on water, disease, more, I do think these iPhones deserve some press.
Potential:
iPhone 5 CPU is reportedly more powerful than any “PowerBook” ever shipped with.

Result:
This “phone”, with low power consumption, cellular connectivity, gps, great camera, display projecting to any screen with a Airplay available, is a radically brilliant computer, for any user from San Francisco to Madagascar.
